Bike Hugger Mixer -- our next event -- June 29th.

iPug shirts

iPug shirts are now available at retail for pug lovers and wholesale for fundraisers from Monkey in a Dryer. The iPug has been around for a while, a meme even, I posted about it on Pug Blog in May 05. Here's a backgrounder on the shirt and the artist from Capitalist Chicks. On the topic of shirts, see the fancy T for Bike Hugger, a blog for cycling enthusiasts and our latest blog project.

Ignore the barking pug

It's guaranteed if I'm on a telecon that at some point Captain will bark. The more important the meeting, the more likely it is that she'll bark and a standard line I have is, "please ignore the barking Pug." She usually has good reason like the sound of the UPS truck, the kids next door getting home from school, or a message beamed to her from Planet pug. It's much worse if I walk around with a headset and I think she thinks that the crazy human who feeds her is talking to himself and that means it's time to play. She'll tug on my pants until I stop talking or sit back down at my desk. Occasionally and unknown to the teleconference attendees, I'll have to mute the phone and put her outside if someone rings the doorbell and delivers a package which puts her on an all-points bulletin bark. Lately, she's getting better and just grrring sometimes. I found it's a good ice-breaker to be talking to a VP of something important, have the bark blast into the call, and then talk dogs for a bit.
