The ever popular Treat Face photo appears in the gallery.

Not pug related, but Napolean the Chihuahua has his own Costco Card.

Purina Downloads

Purina is offering podcasts, ringtones, and you can bet a blog is coming soon.

Cappy Nap

Cappy Nap Few things are as relaxing as an afternoon nap with Cappy. She likes to lay on top of your stomach and sometimes brings her kitty for comfort.

One problem with this arrangement is when she hears an alarming noise and leaps off your stomach, off the bed, and starts barking her brains out. That's alarming, jarring, and messes up the whole nap vibe.

Bone Remnants

I find various bone remnants around the house, in my shoes, under the coach, etc. Today, I was putting the recycling out and found a 1/2 chewed bone in with the paper. I don't know if Cappy was being considerate of the environment, had dropped it into the garbage can, or what. She was very excited about it when I showed it to her, dancing around as if it was her long lost bone.

Desperate Housepugs

The Chicago Tribune reports on how to use pugs to get a date. Great idea! The article continues with more tips and notes that the local Pug Rescue is having a Desperate Housepugs theme party.

happy belated 1 year anniversary!

I missed pointing out last week that June 7th was our one year anniversary for the Merrylog! I can't believe I've posted 333 (as of this entry) photos of the princess - and believe me, my hard drive is filled with thousands more. :) Hope you've all been enjoying it!

And a great year it was! Props to Merry log and thanks for influences on Pug Blog

Pugs Abroad

The Telegraph from Calcutta India reports on Pugs on how Pugs are little big dogs and, “you haven’t lived until you’ve been owned by a Pug!” From the article, I learned that a pug is featured in the Bollywood movie, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi.

Pugblog in Blog Book

I announced elsewhere that I'm writing a book about blogging. It's been daunting, time-consuming, difficult, emotional and that's just the proposal! There'll be mentions of and I'll try to get a photo of Cap'n in one of the chapters. Just as she does now, sitting at my feet, she'll be there with me through the writing of the book.

Pablo the Pug

Pablo the Pug Meet Pablo. He's Dr. Mike's pug. I take Cappy with me to Mike's office and we normally have a fun visit with Pablo. Unfortunately, Pablo was voted off the island by his office mates after an regrettable pooping incident and he wasn't there, but I'm lobbying for him to come back. I mean, what other doctor lets you bring your pug?

One Happy Pug

Cappy Clean Cappy returned from Doggy Day Care one happy pug. She was so happy to be home, she could care less that we promptly bathed here and cleaned her face, ears, and folds. We know she had a good time there, but she's been within an inch of me ever since. First thing she did was drink a giant drink of water, like she'd just ran across a desert. She also lost a few pounds and looks rather fit and trim.

Pug Snuggly

Snuggle The Marin Independent Journal offers more proof that pugs take over their owner lives with the story of the Pug Snuggly. A challenge for a dog coat is to not make pugs look fat or to have a giant puffy neck. We bought a dog coat that cappy hated and it later inspired her Pug Foo coat. See photos 0300 and 0301.

Cappy in Doggy Day Care

Pam and I are heading to Colorado for a conference and vacation and Cappy will enjoy a stay at Doggy Day Care. She loves it there and probably won't miss us as much as we'll miss her.
